## What it is

MyMedicalAdvocate is a patient-facing system for people carrying a complicated medical history. It organizes records over time, explains terminology in plain language, helps prepare for appointments, surfaces the questions worth asking, and lays out options side by side so a person can take part in decisions about their own care.

## Why it exists

I spent years inside the medical system as a patient — severe illness, osteomyelitis, Charcot foot, and eventually a below-knee amputation. What I learned is that outcomes turn heavily on how well you can hold your own history in your head and ask the right question in a fifteen-minute window. Most patients cannot. Records are scattered across systems, the vocabulary is foreign, and the appointment is over before you remember what you meant to ask.

Nobody is coming to fix that for the individual patient. A tool can.

## What it is not

It does not diagnose, treat, or advise. It makes no medical recommendation and replaces no clinician. Its job is preparation and comprehension — helping a person walk in organized and walk out understanding what was said.
