A provider-neutral intelligence and orchestration layer designed to coordinate context, consent, provenance, memory rules, and comparisons among multiple AI systems.
## What it is
HermesCore is a provider-neutral orchestration layer for AI systems. It coordinates context, consent, provenance, and memory rules across multiple models, and makes their outputs comparable rather than interchangeable.
## Why it exists
Once you use more than one AI system seriously, three problems appear immediately. Context has to be re-established every time. There is no record of which system said what, on what basis, or with what information in front of it. And there is no neutral place to compare answers — each provider grades its own work.
HermesCore is the plumbing that addresses those problems: one place where the rules about memory and consent are enforced, and where provenance travels with every answer.
Provider neutrality is the point. A layer that is owned by one model vendor cannot honestly compare that vendor to its competitors.
## What it is not
It is not a model, and it does not generate answers of its own. It is infrastructure.
## Related work
It is the coordination layer beneath SoulKey Network and The Chamber, and part of the AI Hermetics line of work.
